The Grindstone residence is a Normandy style home in Pasadena designed by architect David Serrurier. Sydney designed the gardens in the French style to complement the architecture. Her design includes an entry drive of antique cobblestones lined with silver poplars, a croquet lawn, a decomposed granite boccie court, formal and informal flower gardens with a palette of the owners’ favorite colors, a fruit orchard, and terraced gardens spilling down into the Pasadena arroyo.
